To the delight of anyone who has ever spent a lot of time uploading their video to You Tube and then painstakingly going through it all to add the captions, the new automatic captions system is about to make things a lot easier!

The new system combines Google’s automatic speech recognition with the You Tube caption system to create automatic captions.

You Tube also plans to announce a new automatic timing feature which will allow users to upload a caption manually whenever someone starts speaking in the video.
