Hot off the press: our chapter on Social Trysumers and the hidden gate to the pyramid
We’re delighted to announce the publication of the book, Internet Management for Nonprofits – Strategies, tools and Trade secrets, by Ted Hart, which includes a fabulous chapter written by myself and Alfredo Botti, Social Trysumers and the hidden gate to the pyramid!
In our chapter, which was inspired by an article that we wrote for the publication, Advancing Philanthropy, we introduce a new doorway to the traditional fundraising pyramid (a different entrance from that that can be accessed by making a donation) and a whole new level – which admits non-financial, digital supporters.
These are supporters that arrive at an organization via new media; websites, social networks, email and, especially, SMS!
Our chapter not only gives examples of social trysumerism within organizations, as well as the free experience era as a whole, but also includes guidelines on how to construct social trysumer databases and even convert social trysumers to donors once they are involved in, and enthusiastic about, an organization.
