Demand dignity for slum dwellers in Nairobi by SMS
A great step forward for Amnesty in the use of mobile phones!
Kiberia is Africa’s largest slum, crowded onto just 550 acres of sodden land that straddles the main railway line. Most residents earn barely enough to rent a mud-floored, tin roofed wooden shack with no toilet or running water.
This is a clear example of the power of mobiles for social change.
