New trend: Spread the word for detergent and raise money for a social organization :)
These latest efforts from mother and daughter team, Joan and Melissa Rivers (a well known TV host for the Oscar´s red carpet show on E! Television) combine novel commercial advertising with raising money for charity.
Each time the video is watched, $0.50 is donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Lili Claire Foundation.
This simple viral marketing model reaps enormous benefits for the sponsor (in this case, all Laundry Detergent), and the charities involved vastly increase not only their funds but their supporter email databases. This is a new trend that is likely to become extremely popular in the near future.
