First “social mobile” wins GMA award
Thursday, April 30th, 2009A new handset, developed by INQ is set to revolutionize mobile communication.
Social networking sites including Facebook, Skype, Windows Live and even ebay, have been uploaded onto these phones in such a way that utilising them is now as easy as sending an SMS.
“With the INQ¹ you’re always connected to your friends on your favourite Web services. Log in once and stay that way. Even if you restart your phone, INQ¹ remembers your details and logs you in again,” claims INQ’s website.
The INQ¹, which astounded judges at the Global Mobile Awards 2009, was especially praised for its living address book which merges and automatically updates emails, facebook status updates and even photos of your contacts without any extra programming whatsoever. This is one of the reasons why it walked away from the GMA with the award for the “Best Mobile handset or device”.
